Default 2001 OBD code P1763 and limp mode

Hello all,

I have been on this forum before under another user name but no longer have the email address that I activated that account with so I created a new one.

I am getting the code 1763 on my 2001 durango 360 and have read that it might be governor pressure sensor too high. Is this correct and what parts need to be checked/replaced for this code to go away and to get my transmission out of limp mode?

Thanks.

Most likely it is the governor switch. I don't see why all of a sudden the pressure would start going too high? This should be manualy set so I would start there. Not to mention that they seam to have problems anyway.

I would have the trans seviced with a new filter, fluid, ajustment and sensor at a GOOD local shop of your choise. Buy the sensor and have them put it in for you. It's a lot cheaper that way and they will have the pan down anyway.

I had the GPS go out a few times after my first rebuild and I believe it was the same exact code. I would bet that is your problem as well.
