Default Getting behind the radio??

Can anyone tell me how I would get behind the radio to attach a converter to the antenna? I want to use the car antenna for my fire scanner. I have the part, but not sure how to get to the radio antenna without taking the whole dash board apart... thanks...

Pop off the black trim bezel around the dash, you'll see screws that loosen the stereo, pull it outand there is easy access to the wires.

I don't mean to be stupid, but where would I find this black bezel? is it around the radio or somewhere else? and would I need a special tool to "pop it off"??

Well year is it... ? The older ones have thebezel I'm referring too... it's the trim piece around the dash... it just pulls off, it snaps into place, so it can be a bit of a challenge.

If you get me the year, I'll get you a picture. LOL!

Yes, it is around the radio and usually pops out. Try to get your fingers underneath it and GENTLY pry upward. When this comes off, you will see the screws that hold the radio.

Default RE: Getting behind the radio??

You dont need to go behind the Radio . There is a antenna connector in the passenger kick panel. It also is a standard motorola connector unlike the new style connector .
