I need new pads and rotors on the D and don't need anything special... I also don't want anything to warp the first time I apply the brakes... It's either $29.99 each for Valucraft or $49.99 each for Duralast... One in the same to me...

Since we are already undersized as is, keep to name brand stuff and get the best you can afford. Baer Decelarotor is excellent for example. I found the PowerSlots to be less than advertised yet miles ahead of stockers. With the tendency to warp, avoid all cheapies and eBay no-names (because the steel quality is questionable on eBay clones.)

Which pads you use also adds into the equation.

Rotors warp due to being overheated. Once they warp and are resurfaced they will not warp again. Napa sells rotors that have not been warped for $30.00 and rotors that have been warped and resurfaced for $50-60.00 IIRC. Whatever you go with remember to take it for a short drive after replacing the rotors and do not go over 30 MPH. Stop smoothly and wait for a minute until the rotors cool down. Do this 8 or so times and you'll be good to go. I personally feel it is all about the pads unless you are going with drilled and slotted rotors.

Except for wear is not included in the warranty. Only manufacturer defects on pads and rotors...

I am going to go with Performance Friction Semi-Metallic. I will do the recommended break-in for them also... I bought some mid-grade rotors from Schucks with 2 year warranty... We'll see how they do...
