heater blowing cold air wont get hot keeps over heating

Question heater blowing cold air wont get hot keeps over heating

i was driving down the road the other day and my upper radiator hose broke. i replaced the hose as well as the thermostat, and it's still over heating and blowing cold air... i really need to use the truck and was wondering anyone have any idea what is wrong with my durango....

it is a 2000 dodge durango 5.9 r/t with 138 k.....

can someone please help me!!!! thanks ben

sounds like air in cooling system.

how would i go about getting the air out?

Default got the air out!!!! good ****

i jacked the front end of the truck up and slowly added coolant to the radiator and eventually it burped itself out water pump was moving the fluid thru thanks for your in put and help!!!!
