I have a 98 Durango. The red seat belt button in the rear passenger seat broke. I tried to get one from the dealer. They wanted to charge me $136 for the entire seatbelt assembly. Is there somewhere that I can get just the button? It's probably a $1 part. Or is there anyone that has upgraded their seatbelts that would part with the old one?

 

Get down to a junkyard or a pick n pull. You can get a perfectly good component there. If all else fails I have seen plenty of Durango parts on eBay probably from wrecks as well. If someone there doesn't have the part you are looking for send them a message I'm sure they can put up a buy it now auction for the part you're interested in.

 

+1 on the junk yard. Take the right wrench with you and you are set for next to nothing $ related.

I too got the same story from the dealer. They only sell the complete rear seat belt assembly for big $$ so, I used www.getusedparts.com and received many emails from used part dealers. I got a BOTH rear seat belt receiver assemblies for $55 DELIVERED from a cool guy named Marv at 800-433-7667.

 

okay, I know this is resurrecting an old post but I am getting pissed off at my seat belts and I know it is probably something stupid simple...
I got a set of belts for the third row bench and they will not extend! What is the friggin trick here?
