Default problems withe the ds 46re....

Ok so i was driving in 4wd cause of snow we got here and i put it in N and shift the t case into 2wd to do cookies and i put it back in d it didnt do nothing in 1 2 or d, now i have R still so today i pulled the pan the fuild was not burnt and bottom of pan had some stuff not much any ideals solenoids?
no slipping or problems before this
i have like 110k miles

Also t case issues goes in 4 hi but part time dont work only back tires and 4 lo works but then front stops getting power and rears only in lo still?

It sounds like your t-case is the problem not your tranny. What year is your D? It could be as simple as the shift controller going south on you if it is an 01' or up.

I have found that with my 98 it always works best to shift the transfer case while the truck is moving. I have tried to do it while sitting still and have had the front axle bind on me. Leave it in drive while shifting to and from 4WD. Just be sure your speed is below 50 mph.
