I'm mostly fond of Michelin's. They also make the BFG All-Terrain in that size.

Good luck with the R/T rims. Kensai should be able to help. He's looked high and low for good tires in your size.

Try private messaging him if he doesn't respond soon with a link to this thread. I'm sure there's a few threads floating around with questions regarding tires for the R/T rims.

EDIT: Here ya go!

I am VERY pleased with the BF Goodrich TA K/O's. We just recently got over 2 feet of snow here in Washington and I have not had ONE problem... Except for the damn solid rear axle... When one side starts to bounce on the ice, the whole rear starts to go with it. But they have VERY good grip...

Sorry to respond so late! Been a busy month for me with lots of life changing events in my family.

Tirerack is where I went and looked for tires for my R/T with the rare size of 275/60/17's. My last set of tires were the BFG's CompTA's which they don't make anymore. BFG does not make any performance tires for this particular size. The only tire BFG had was the Longtrail all terrain tires. I was going to go with Michelin Cross Terrains, alot of people posted good things about this tire and it has very excellent ratings for wet and dry conditions as well some snow traction. But these tires were costly. About $180-$200 ea. I almost settled for the goodyear Eagle RS-A as they were on sale from Sam's for around $135 ea. Then a user here got a brand new model tire from BFG, BFG came out with a Touring T/A series tire for the longtrail line. I saw this new model tire from Tirerack but because it is still relatively new, there are no reviews or test results from this tire. But I am a diehard fan of BFG's. Been using this brand of tire on all my vehicles and trucks since 1985. Now BFG is own by Michelin, I can trust this brand even more. The price for the LongTrail Touring T/A series is cheap. Cost me about $120 ea from Costco.

So far, I have driven about 800 miles on these new tires. And right around the time when DFW came across some cold wet weather. So far, these tires handled great for a all season highway tire. Roadnoise was very low and ride comfort was very good.

Here are more reviews from other owners regarding the Longtrail Touring T/A series from tirerack.
