03 durango brakes pulsating
I just bought an 03 slt durango, and the brakes are pulsating and also feeling it in the steering. I have had new brakes front and rear and both sets of rotors turned. The mechanic seems to think I need new rotors on the rear and the front ones seem fine. Anyone have any thoughts on this? All help would be greatly appreciated.
by turned you mean machined right??? if the rotor is warped and can be machined that would take care of it, if it can't be then replace. if you have o'rileys autoparts around ya or the old school napa they should do it for like 15-20 a rotor
yeah if it only pulsates when braking....it's the rotors....and how long ago were they machined??
edit: since they were machined and put back on, have your wheels been pulled and put back on with the lugs at proper torque...alot of shops LOVE to over torque the lugs and that will destroy the rotors

You left and it was pulsing and you didn't turn around and go right back in? Since a single stop can warp the undersized stocker rotors, the replacements are probably on you this time regardless of the service you just had done.
Try Baer Decelarotors.

yea these trucks are too heavy to use machined rotors, my dads truck warped his cut (turned) rotors in about a week(or less) always replace the rotors on these trucks when replacing breaks that SHOULD fix your problem, (i would replace pads and rotors together, but that may just be my OCD first

I had some pretty horrid warped rotors on my 1999 5.2l... I replaced them with cheap $30 rotors from Schucks and some performance friction pads... HUGE difference in stopping power and no warping with 6,000 miles so far!
