Default 2000 headlamp replacement problem

I'm having a major issue with replacing the bulbs in the headlamps. Following instructions I removed the 3 bolts that hold the lamp enclosure to the vehicle but I cannot get the lamp enclosure off. It appears that either there is a 4th bolt that has no way of getting it unscrewed, or there is a clip behind the headlamp that won't disconnect.

Can anyone help or tell me if I'm missing something. The owner's manual states to pull firmly once the bolts are off, but I've had to pull so hard that the vehicle is rocking back and forth and it won't disengage.

Thanks

You have to grab both sides and give a good yank. Just keep a firm grip so it doesn't come out too far and mess with the wires. There is a ball/socket in the upper corner that holds it in.

Thanks for the info. I really needed confirmation that is the problem before I broke something yanking too hard.

Thanks!

Stone I have never pulled my headlights to change the headlampps. Just reach through the hole that the power supply goes through. Twist it out and reinsert in reverse, the drivers side has to have the battery removed unless you have the skinniest of hands. All done.
