Default ac help please

ok i was having a problem with my defrost so i took the dash off and found the main/center blend door was sticking and not moving. so i fixed the problem and sealed the box with silicone . then i figured while i had the ac system dry i might as well replace the accumulator since it was only like 15 bucks . did that and waited for the silicone to dry. the next day i went out and put it all back together and it would not take any page oil and it only took 12 oz of r134 any ideas?

Did you get a vacuum pulled on the system?

Yes, evacuate the system... You cannot just fill it after having it apart... Procedures man! They are made for a reason!

You have to pull the vacuum to boil any water out of there. Absolutely get this done and find a cheaper shop. I can get this done in my area for $60. That is before a buddy of mine bought a vacuum pump. Now I can get it done for free.
