Default Oil Seal needs replacing....

My oil consumption has been traced by the dealer to the front crankshaft oil seal....

question, my engine geography isn't good enough...if this seal leaks where does the oil go to...??
I assume it goes to the timing chain housing...but hoew does it enter the outside world from there...??

how do you replace it...?? big job...??

Chris

By the way. If the oil is coming out of the front seal and it's not bad then it will coat the undercarage of the truck. It won't hurt anything unless you run too low on oil in the motor. If you don't mind grease then oh well in my opinion. But if it's bad, here's some instructions.
