2000/ Lights go out with High Beams
#11
The fogs do turn off with the high beams and there should be no reason for the high beam indicator dimming when the switch is pulled out for the fog lights. It should be the normal brightness no matter what.
The way I read your post before was that when you switch on the high beams all lights except for your parkijng lights go out. Is that correct?
I would have to look at a wiring diagram to see what is going on with your lights if that is the case...

Correct, no highbeams. and normally if I just ran the fogs and regular low beams , the highbeam indicator would not show at all.
will check bulbs today. thanks

I'm still looking into the years on the schematics because they are different. Looks like the 1998 is different then the 1999-2000 models.

Yea, the more I looked into it there were many different variations on the lighting schematics which would indicate that this would only really work on this vehical or at least one of the same year and model.
I would love to find this my truck tho.......
EVERYONE.......Be careful when trying this application as it may cause the multifunction switch or CTM to short out! Each person should check their schematics before trying this!

This appeers to be a simple jump of the multi-function by way the relay plug. Now I run my fogs everywhere and have never had a problem with overheating of the lens.
