I'd check out those wires as well. Mist them with some water after dark or in a dark garage. If you see any arcing replace the wires with OEM or MSD. Also if you know electrical do an Ohms test on the wires to make sure they are within specs. IIRC the general rule of thumb is 10,000 ohms per foot.

Hi all,
So, what have I learned from this entire experience?
1. Don't always trust a dealer mechaninc
2. Listen to what you say on these boards.
I took the truck into a "backyard" mechanic that I know and trust. He took it out for a drive, and experienced what I did. He said electrical. Sure enough, 2 of the cap terminals were completely corroded, the wires were corroded, and the rotor was burnt down to almost nothing. We replaced everything (Cap, rotor, wires, and coil), and it seems to be running ok. Everything I replaced was supposedly checked during my tune up at a certified Dodge dealership, and passed. Needless to say, the dealership is refunding me my money, paying for all my parts (wires etc..), and doing a complete analysis/diagnosis on all systems in my truck. Thanks for all the advice!
