Default Turn signals

I have a 2000 Durango with 151000 miles I haven’t had it that long but I have had a lot of little problems like the ABS light problem I change the rear speed sensor and that fixed that problem. But now when I put on either my right or left turn signal both come and suggestions all lights seem fine.

Thanks

Sounds like a grounding problem.

Ensure that the battery cables are clean and the battery is good by having it load tested. Make sure the grounding connection between the chassis and the body is in good shape.

Now on the truck.....LOL....... You've bought a Durango with 151k miles on it and don't expect to put a little work in it???????.............LOL.......... You don't know all that has been done to it not to mention where is has been all it's life....... You can't just slam it dude!

Thanks for the reply….I’m not slamming it..It’s a great running truck… I actually didn’t buy it, I acquired it……long story. Besides the normal repairs for a truck this old and miles it’s be great.

Thanks

I'm thinking it could either be a ground issue or a short to voltage. If it is a ground issue you will have voltage left on the ground wire. This is not as likely as a short to voltage though. Work your way through the loom wiggling it as you go with the blinkers on and have someone watching the blinkersto let you know if one or the other goes out. If this doesn't work you will have to open the loom and follow it along in order to find the short. I personally would pick up a tone generator but they aren't cheap so for a single use it probably wouldn't be worth it for you unless you can return it when you are finished with it.

Oh ok well in that case just unhook the battery and go to town.
