Passenger window goes down but won't go up

From what I'm being told, is that the brushes inside the motor have worn down to the point where they are not longer making the same contact on the windings as they were when it was new. This reduction in contact equates to a reduction in current flowing from the motor slowing it down. It's weak. The only recourse is to replace the brushes or most likely the cheaper route, unless you can do that yourself is to replace it. I found on RockAuto.com the complete motor AND regulator assembly shipped for $70. Not a bad price for new parts.

It is usually a bad motor or bad master switch. You can unplug the master switch and use a jump wire to raise the window if the motor is good until you get a new switch, if it doesn't raise then you have a bad motor.

yea as i said before the switch panel itself needs to be replaced, not cleaned REPLACED, you could get one in a j/y if you can find one there that matches your truck (or maybe swap the controls to the panel from your truck)

power windows 2004 durango
I have a 2004 Durango, the rear passenger window will go down, but not up from its own door switch. It will go up, and down, no problem from the drivers side master switch..........so, my questions is: What do I check to see why it won't go up from its own door switch? I don't think it would be the motor because it goes up and down no problem from the divers side. I would like to fix it my self? please help!!!
