Default 99 5.2 durango just quit running

I pulled a spark plug and looked for spark none, I pulled the coil wire to the distributor and looked for a spark none, i checked the hot wire going to the coil no power. does any one have any ideas to help

Check the fuses. Also the is a relay under the hood for shutdown.

Could also be a coil, or crankshaft position sensor located under the distibutor cap.

You can test these parts by buying a Chilton Manual at your local parts store and a multi-meter.

thanks i'll look at the fuses and relays and check the coil

Default HA Ha Ha

Well after replacing both the crank sensor and the cam sensor the engine still would not fire so i went back over the the entire ignition system from the cam sensro to the plugs the flint in the top of the distributor cap was completely missing and the rotor contact was bent a little so now i dont have to worry about the crank sensor or the cam sensor for awhile now went a head and did a full tune up plugs wires and oil change to include cap and rotor pcv valve and lucas fuel treatment on premium techron gas and she's getting 20mpg on the highway flat road at 75mph

Ah heck I was just about to say It is time to just get rid of it and donate it to me.

After what was said it wouldn't be in the distributor cap......

Hard to nail that one down with miss information.

Hey did you just look or actually test with a volt meter?

I like to test for coil voltage like I test 9v batteries for the smoke alarms and hot looking female exotic dancers with body shots=with my tongue................
