Default Fluids for Transfer Case & Front Diff???

I am going to replace the fluids in the rear diff with Redline 75W/90 & the dodge additive for LS. But I also want to change the fluids in the T-Case and Front Diff as well. I assume the front diff just takes 75W/90 gear oil with NO additive correct? Also, what goes in the T-case - ATF???

If ATF, which redline ATF should I use from this list - https://www.redlineoil.com/products_...p?categoryID=8 ??

Thanks

Just use mopar ATF + 4 in the t-case and 75-90 for the diffs. I use mobil 1 in the diff's and they have the additive in them for the limited slip already. A lot of the guys on the forum will still say to use the additive and it won't hurt anything if you do, but I have nearly 30k miles on this last fluid change with no problems whatsoever.

Can anybody tell me the fluid quantities needed for the front & rear diffs and the transfer case? I don't have my manuals at the moment. Thanks

No year and engine? Can't help ya unless you can tell us what you have.

+1 on what Green said! I would still install the friction modifier unless you don't have LS. Mobil kicks Arss......

Sorry... I have a 99 D 5.9L 4X4. I really like Redline products so I'll stick with them. The rear diff is limited slip so I will also use the additive.

Last night I went to pick up the Redline D4 ATF (for the T-Case) from the only store in my state that stocks Redline oils however they only had one can left. So I ended up buying 2 quarts of Royal Purple Max ATF (http://www.royalpurple.com/transmission-fluid.html). Is this stuff ok for the T-Case?

NO and NO!

They say they can swich out:
Chrysler: ATF+, ATF+2, ATF+3, ATF+4 Max ATF

I call bullsh*t! This is just another milti-vehical transmission fluid and it is NOT suppost to be there.

Many TSB's inform information about this type of fluid and not to use it. Only use ATF+3 type 7176 which is regular of AFT+4 which is Fully Synthetic.

If this is what you want to use, more power to you.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll go return that royal purple ATF and get the normal ATF+4. Thanks

You'll be better off!

Besides, ATF+4 is Fully Synthetic anyway!!!!!!!!!!
