My 2000 Durango is at the repair shop for a battery drain problem. They were were going fuse by fuse trying to find the drain when they heard a clicking noise coming from under the dash when all of a sudden the clicking stopped and so did the drain on the battery!! Any ideas?

clicking from a relay? Or a clunking sound? Could be something as simple as an old alarm that wasnt taken out correctly and the "alarm" is going off, but since theres no siren or horn hooked to it, its just clicking the relay.... Just my $.02

You will get clicking under the glove box when you have a dead battery. The chime, etc is there. I think that is a symptom not your problem.

How bout the remote lock-unlock system=sticking relay=has to be a subsystem that always has battery power=make sure ya don't have one of the "power outlets" grounding internally=they get corroded sometimes and will play havoc with the system and computer since their powered all the time..
