Default Powerdyne Supercharger

I have a powerdyne supercharger on my freshly built forged 408 stroker. I'm not getting any boost any the belt is slipping. Does anyone know how to install the factory belt tensioner with this supercharger?

I'm not a supercharger expert, but I don't think a stock tensioner is gonna have the muscle to tame that s.c.=what boost level are you trying to run?
and are you running stock pulleys or after markets?
and are you sure the unit isn't defective=this s.c. is self lubed I believe....

I have the powerdyne tensioner right now. I want to run both. I ordered a aftermarket pulley for 10-12lb of boost. But I was told by KRC performance that 408 strokers soak up a lot of boost and I'll eventually need something bigger such as a vortech or paxton. These powerdyne superchargers have a cogged pulley on the inside instead of oil. If I take the discharge tube off you can feel the air blowing pretty hard. Rebuild kits are cheap for these things anyways. Powerdyne's are known for shredding internal eblts and bearings at anything over 6psi so they have aftermarket belts,impellers,bearings,etc...

They make a Whipple air screw style that fits a dodge intake yet? That be an awesome S.C. to bolt on=I saw em on a ford couple times and they're very efficient and durable..

I love the way a roots blower screams.(Kenne Bell/Eaton/Roush TVS) My dad has a 2008 428R Roush. It has a custom 2.57 pulley, makes around 7psi,sounds awesome. You can see it at streetfire.net just search 428r. We have a dyno video of it.

Stop It Right Now!=lol-I love that kinda stuff but I can't have one right now and a Roots supercharger is very different from a Lysholms supercharger aka kenne bell and whipple, rousch =Roots are not as effeicent and takes more spin up time to produce power=a Lysholms produce power almost right off idle to about 6000rpms<at a conservative level at about 9psi...

Out of curiosity, what is the compression ratio of this motor?

Ya. Did you get it miced out for a real number or assumption?

I would assume that you need to find a different way to run the belt. You put even move pressure on the bearings and kiss em goodbye. That belt needs to run fully around the pulley.

Yeah, one other lil thing=does the belt ride "straight"through around all the pulleys=alil off and it will cause slippage..
