Default ABS Speed Sensor 99 Durango

Hey Guys,

I am replacing a speed sensor on the top of the differential on a 99 Durango.
The old one was a B getting off, broke off, but I managed to get the cap part out of the differential. The new one doesn't seem to want to go in all the way? It just won't go in the last 1/4" or so. Any ideas at all will help. Thanks!

Double check the part number and look inside the hole to make sure everything is out. Make sure everything else meshes. Take a look at the part and see if there is any gouging that is present and take a closer look where it is hitting.

Default all is cool

Thanks, looked in the hole with a mirror, clean, can see a gear that seems to be centerd in the hole. I have pressed the sensor in as hard I can! Twisting while pressing and it just won't go in that last 1/4" or so? Should I tap it? Thanks,
