alright so i also noticed a whistle the other day.. only when i press in the pedal to a certain extent. so i popped the hood and pulled the throttle cable to hunt the sound and it was coming from the throttle body. I was thinkin something wasnt fastened down tight.. after investigating the T/B butterfly plate I put it all back together and the whistle seemed to be dampened. so i dunno maybe a loose hose/fitting. maybe the air filter isnt making a good seal or has a tiny hole in it or something. It started shortly after i had a tune up (all because my spark plugs wouldnt budge.. so i decided to let napa do em before i cranked the porcelain off and get em stuck)

I would take it back to Napa but i HATE taking my car to a mechanic.. i love fixing it myself. I've got a bond with my Durango that my Tacoma couldnt give. since i never had to work on my tacoma : ). (traded my 06 taco for a 03 durango and i dont regret it at all. tacos are made of all plastic. the bed is even all plastic. NO SHEETMETAL UNDERNIETH THE FAKE BEDLINER THING. that was the bed haha. i was so mad at that..

"I'm game for trying the propane. I love old school methods. Often more reliable and easy to accomplish. Sounds as good as anything I guess.

Anyone have a cigarette?"

Remember this phrase when Indy chimes in on fuel tank level issues. LOL!!!

i think i'm hearing that same whistle. i've heard since i bought it in december 06.. hasn't hurt anything and mechanics can't find a reason for it. it usually chimes in about 50mph & leaves about 60-65mph... is it just a minor annoyance, or is my truck going to suddenly implode if i don't do somethin about it??

Default 98 Durango making a light whistle sound

My truck started making a funny whistling noise today, any ideas as to what it can be? I recorded the sound on my phone, i can send to anyone via email to distinguish what it may be. Thanks
