Sounds like you have a leak in your windshield somewhere allowing it to drip water over the fuse box. I drove a Semi that did this and man it was annoying. took me awile to figure it out but that is what the problem ended up being.

Other possibilities are water getting into the breaker box under the hood..

I should note that it is possible that u have a leak in ur windshield and your floor ext.. not get wet. This is what took me so long to find the problem with the truck I had. I did not find it till I started pulling things apart . I knew it had to be water related just had to find out where the leak was

A cheap fix=buy a car cover....... Not so simple fix check the grounds to chassis and get a big tube of dielectric grease and smear all connections and grounds-Its messy but if you live in the rustbelt or northeast it's a must..and please disconnect the negative battery terminal when you do this=it will reset the comp after about 8hrs and the radio stations but it will help you in the end=to find windshield leaks hose the vehicle down for 10 mins then examine the underside dash area..stick with your d-rang=they are the best older suv's out there and the safest
