Had the same problem with my '99 Durango (no bus on odometer & stalling). I also changed the crankshaft sensor. The problem is definitely the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). It costs about $500, and is only a few screws to change, but I had to have the dealer install it because it has to be reprogrammed for the keyless entry & alarm to work correctly (final cost $800). I spent months trying to figure this out and more than 100 hours on message boards, emailing, etc. Once the PCM was replaced, the problem was solved. Good luck!

I too had this problem, took it the dealer and they replaced the ctm, did not fix problem and was not under warranty($325). I forced them to replace the pcm and it fixed the problem and was covered under emmissions warranty up to 80,000 miles I think. Good luck.
