Default Leak detection pump solenoid circuit?!?!?

Can any one tell me hoe to test for a leak in the evap system? My truck keeps throwing a p1495 code and it is driving me crazy. I have heard so many different theories on this all from one side of the spectrum to the other. All it has done is completely confuse me on how to go about fixing the code. I have heard everything from exhaust leak to replace the pump. I have been told to start by testing for the leak. OK HOW!?!?!

Try changing the gas cap first! Cheapest part to replace... Do you click the cap at least three times when tightening? If not that, you can try to find the leak by either pumping the system up with smoke or doing a vacuum and listen for leaks... But a gas cap is the best place to start...

I'm sorry... I don't think my above info was correct... This code has to do with the electrical circuits possibly... So the LDP solenoid may be bad... I would check the resistance of the pump and the voltage going through the harness... I will try to look up specifics today for you...

Okay... Here is what you need to do...

Remove the connector from the solenoid... Should be on the back wall, just to the drivers side of the air-hat... You will have the solenoid to check and the harness... What you want to measure is the voltage coming from the harness and the resistance of the solenoid.... Turn the key to the "ON" position but do not start the motor... The voltage at the connector should be at least 10V or more... Now, check the resistance of the solenoid... Should be around 35 ohms...

I know it's been a while since this was replied to, but I get 12V at the solenoid, and 35 ohms for the solenoid resistance. I don't see any bad hoses. What's next?
