Thumbs down long term problem ever since I purchased the 99 durango

The vehicle is in good condition and has low milage but for some reason, the vehicle will do two things that might be related in some manner:

The ABS and Parking Brake light will come on and off (stays on for some time turns off...etc)

as well as the car will sometimes not start, I tried taking the vehicle to the dealer two times for them to analyze and determine the problem however they haven't. They recommended a new battery which I purchased and replaced through the dealer however intermittently the car will start/run for weeks and eventually will not start one day. Has anyone experienced some sort of this problem? I just think its ridiculous that the dealer doesn't seem to have any idea on this matter either. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! thank you.

the abs/parking brake light is most likely the rear wheel speed sensor gone bad, it is located on top of the rear differential, about the random not starting i dont have anything, cept maybe a bad TPS (throttle position sensor)

Yeah I second TPS if you can step on the gas and start it.
To test the TPS while driving take the "D" for a 20 min ride on the highway. With the cruse control set, see if you notice any surging/ high RPM reving.

Check the grounds........ battery terminals, chasis to ground, dash to ground.

#1 priority.... GO TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP....
A dealership has to be able to service the vehicle under any circumstances, they cant just nudge off service/repair.. Yeah bringing in a service that shows no symptoms at the time is a pain in the *** and the mechanics look at you like your crazy, but its still their job too look into the supposed issue. Dont be afraid to contact chrysler either about that specific dealership... It's the only way to get them to wisen up.. If your mech. inclined, as the other's mentioned replace the rear sensor on the diff, and maybe give the tps a shot.

thanks, i'll probably look into the sensor first. Another dealership is probably a good idea but this problem is ocassional. It will run for weeks and it has something to do with the battery/charging/keeping a charge or something because the solution is to charge the battery overnight and then it will up and run for a few weeks or more and eventually end up dying again.
