ram-van 3500 transmission Question / Westwing77?
this questiom is for westwing77, or anyone that help.
i have a problem on my transmission! it's stuck on 3rd gear 99% of the times, it goes to 2nd gear manually, and to 1st gear if slamed from nuetral. sometimes when cold it shifts perfectly for about 1 mile. did you get yours fixed yet? i've put about 5000 miles after it got stuck on 3rd gear, but i'm dying to fix it, aamco wants 2500, but because i don't have the funds i haven't fixed it. i already changed the shift solenoid A right after it happened. but it did nothing. i always thought it could be the computer, but not sure. ebay has one remanufactured for $200. if anyone could help me i would be very very thankfull... thanks!

i bought 1995 3500 ram conversion less than a yr ago. had 115k. after 26 days, had tranny/overheating probs. went for quick-fix...ended up shifter cable was loose why it slipped gears. replaced whole trans $1700, then lost it again 6 mos laterbc serpentine belt loose
