Default LED display on Infinity OEM audio deck

Anyone experience a problem where the LCD display goes out? Mine has just started going out and then back on. Looks like a loose wiring or something but cannot trace it. It just maybe the LCD is about to go out? Is this common? anyone else experience this and is there a solution? Otherwise the deck works fine, just no display.

I hate to go aftermarket unless I don't have a choice. Want to keep everything stock inside to discourage breakins.

My 02 ram does this when the key is in the accessory position. Depending on how the key is resting in acc. the screen goes on and off but the radio still functions. Maybe check that out?

I got an extra one from a 1999 you can have for $50 if it fits! What style radio is in the 2000? Is it the rounded face or a square face?

It's the square. I'll let ya guys know if I need to buy a OEM from one of you. So far, it still plays, and the LCD hasn't blinked out on me anymore at least for now. Damn, I need to take this out to drive it more I guess. Being garaged up to a couple weeks at a time before driving it just for a day may be causing little problems to creep up.

I just got both my 02 sensors ordered and waiting to get them installed to see if this leviates my 9-10 mpg problem!

We'll see if thats the problem. I like the OEM versions on the O2 sensors.

I still think it's the plugs......IMHO.....

Experienced something similar. Would lose the radio and turn signals at the same time. Turns out that it was a bad ignition switch (which explains why the symptoms would resolve/repeat when the key was moved around while in the ignition).

My clock LCD on the radio just cuts in/out randomly. I found a good aftermarket replacement if I decide not to go with OEM replacement when this OEM deck gives out. Check it out. It's avail at Walmart for $199 but you can problaby find one online for about $169

Jensen 1.5 DIN receiver with 3.5 inch 16x9 video screen. Not bad and best looking one with modern functions for a 1.5 DIN receiver
