Here is the product summary for the Blaupunkt THA 475 PnP 4-Channel Class-D Car Amplifier:

"Finally, the perfect solution for improving the sound on stock car audio systems simply, quickly, and without violating your lease agreement. Blaupunkt’s THA plug and play amplifiers install in over 2000 car models in under fifteen minutes with absolutely no crimping, splicing, soldering, or hassle of any kind. Plus, they come out as easily as they go in – making it simple to return your car to stock form at the end of a lease. Blaupunkt’s complete range of over 40 vehicle-specific wiring harness adapters supply every connection necessary, including power*, with a simple plug – and they work with nearly any car, including those with complicated bus systems that eliminate the possibility of installing conventional amplifiers. The THA amplifiers are cool-running class D designs that are 65 % smaller than the competition, and install almost anywhere – including tight spaces behind the dash or under the front seats. These amplifiers are simply the only solution for improving stock systems in today’s world of complicated car electronics and leased vehicles."

Technical specifications:

4-channel car amplifier
RMS power (4 ohms): 4 x 75 W / 2 x 180 W
RMS power (2 ohms): 4 x 85 W
Max. power (4 ohms): 4 x 150 W / 2 x 360 W
Variable low-pass filter (50-250 Hz)
High-pass/subsonic filter (10-250 Hz)
Full-range Class-D amplifier design
Direct auxiliary input
Fuse rating: 30A x 1
11-1/4"W x 1-11/16"H x 7-1/4"D

Note the size of this amp. It closely matches the dimensions of the OEM amp with the brackets. Users also posted reviews that this amp runs pretty cool under load so you won't have to worry about excess heat build up behind the kick panel. I also like the idea that this amp can easily integrate with OEM equipment without all the retrofitting! I hope they have one for Dodge audio systems.

Default Durango amp

So have you tried this amp yet? I installed the infinity 6012 speakers and I can barely hear the rears.

This is my problem also. The rears are weak compared to the fronts. Not sure if it is the amp. I already got this amp in mind and will have it budgeted for next month to get it installed!

From amazon.com, some good reviews. Especially some owners that actually installed it in their 1st gen Dakotas which should match the Durangos at the passenger side kick panel. Owners said it was an easy straight forward replacements without having to drill new mounting holes. No wires to splice. Direct plug and play.

Don't wait too long, almost clicked on "buy now" but couldn't find how to order the right cables. Amazon only had 4 left. Discontinued on crutchfield.

damn, oh well, if they're gone, they're gone then. This amp is on the lower end of my project wants. My primary upgrade will be the airgap intake manifold upgrade! I am sure these units may turn up on ebay or somewhere.

Thanks for the info. Checked out pricegrabber, it links to discount jungle, couldn't find a place to click buy. Tried to go to website, didn't work. Googled them, found some BAD reviews. eBay has 1 seller for 320+20+cables. Maybe I'll just put the money in my gastank lol

Default Ebay has 8 of these left for $97 with s/h

I just bought this blaupunkt today from ebay. Brand new unopen box. They have 8 left after I bought mine! Better get yours before it's all sold out.

This amp usually goes for $250-300 bucks!!!

This is the only aftermarket 4 channel amp that will perfect replace the oem amp at its original location at the passenger side kick panel with little or no modifications.
