How much do BFG AT/KO cost?
I live close to Toronto, ON and BFG AT/KO's cost a lot up here.. I'm looking to get a set of 31x10.5x15 and I'm looking at about $200 + per tire!! I know they can't cost that much in the States, so I'm inquiring to fellow DF'rs in NY..
how much would that size cost you at your local stores? I'll drive down for the day (only take me 2 hours to get to NY) if it'll save me at least $100 on the set..

$680 out the door is a great price considering I'm gonna be paying between 800-900 out the door.. I'm not a costco member, so I won't get the hazard fees and stuff like that, I can bring along a friend who is a costco member though..
I'd put in the effort for minimum $150/set, it'll be worthwhile even after currency exchange and the tank of gas.. hmmm, well it might be worth it.. I'll have to get more accurate quotes from my local stores..
Kensai you sold a Toyota 4x4? I just bought a toyota 4x4.. 1989 4Runner, 22re, 5spd

The price for rubber went up! haha, I still have my tire receipt for my toyota when I put in those 31/10.5/15 tires. $129 ea from Sears back in 1991!! With tax, and road hazard warranty, I cannot see the final price as this receipt is worn out, but it look lik a tad over $500.
My little toy was a 1985 std cab 4x4 with 5spd and 22RE. Those are stout engines. But I got rid of it when I spent too much money trying to figure out why the truck cannot hold 60 mph on highway. I have to stay in 4th gear. I thought it was the bigger 31 inch tires, but later on, found out the truck is oem geared for 31 as the speedometer is showing correct speed with 31's. But the 60 mph limit is not consistent, some times, I can drive 80-90 mph on highway but much less often than I like. Something like 90/10 with 90 percent of time, it is limited to 60. This is on flat road, no head wind, etc. After having to go to extreme lenghs of having engine rebuild thinking engine lost power, it did not solve my problem. plus, lately it went thru 3 clutches. At this point I assume the truck had a drag somewhere (adding to my 60 mph limit). Too much money put into a aging truck so I got rid of it. Truck was in great shape, I add on alot of offroad goodies. I miss west texas! Went offroading and blasting varmits with our .22 rifles every weekend! Also took the little toy out to play in the sand dunes in Monahans, Tx.

THanks for the list Duranged, but I currently have 32 x 9.5 x 15 TSL Super Swampers on there right now, so I'm not lookin for Mud tires, these things are epic.. and for $158/tire I can replace them next year..
The BFG AT's are listed $134/tire, but with shipping and conversion to Canadian dollars it works out to A LOT more.. prolly an extra $60/tire..
I need AT's for summer driving, snow/ice driving, etc..
I'd love to get BFG AT cause they're uuuuber bada$$, but I'll settle for something with less offroad ability cause I've got the TSL for when i wanna hit a trail..
I'm headin to my tire shop right now to get some prices..
and Kensai, I've only driven my Yota once on the higway, its still not on the road yet, gotta get plates and insurance.. but I held a solid 65 mph in fifth gear.. However I've got factory 28's, but currently running 32's, so it was hurtin a lil getting up to speed.. I also didn't want to go faster than 65 cause the TSL's are SOOOO loud, I was going deaf.. I think with 31's, and less rolling resistance I should be able to keep speed no problem..
