shrp... maybe your problem was the "3 wheel abs". As a 4 wheel system, that has to be a problem.

LOL

Well... that is known industry wide as a 4 wheel ABS system.

Your F1 inspired Durango may vary of course. Yours is some 2.5 bastard or something.

Is that just because of the 4 wheel disk brakes or are there other things that make it the best?

As a key component, yes to the 4 wheel brakes being a big improvement.

Technically, the 2003 was the latest and last of the Gen1 development. Thus, on a practical basis alone, that leaves the 2003 as the top of the food chain in the Gen1 Durango world. If I had to do it over, the 2003 R/T would be the cream of the crop.

Personally, I prefer the 2000 interior better, but as a whole vehicle it's the 2003.

lol its ok, i should be proofing my posts at some point BEFORE i hit submit, and still, the 4 wheel abs drives me absolutely nuts, everything i said before applies to the 4 wheel system, stopping distance is INCREASED, and control over the braking power is decreased (granted control of the VEHICLE is incresed with the abs), i miss being able to lock up the front wheels and stop the truck on a dime (i could stand my old 98 dak on its nose on a moments notice, cant do that with my durango)
