Default auxillary jack

i was wondering if anybody knew of an auxillary jack for the STOCK headunit for these trucks, i hav been using a tape cassette adapter, but the quality could be better, and i refuse to use an fm transmitter bc all my friends that have them admit that they suck,

btw: i have the stock infinity system w/ the OPTION fot he 6 disc changer but no changer in the truck,

p.s. i thought at some point i had heard about something connecting to the cd changer plug for something like this but im not sure

thanks in advance guys

Ya not positive but I think the radio has a Din connection on the back, if so there are ways to add CD, tape by using it.. I think they even make external head units that you can mount elsewhere in the truck threw DIN, this again I am not positive about, been awhile since i was into the radio seen.

Are you taking about using a connection for an iPod connection? I didn't catch that or not.

If so... you have touched on all three stocker-adapter solutions. Cassette tape is one, FM transmitter is another (all of them suck BTW) and the third is using the CD Changer plug to run an iPod adapter connection to the headunit. It is called "iPod2Car" and is made by Peripheral Electronics.

well i dont have an ipod, i have a zune, so that connector wont work i was looking for a place i could plug a wire into the headphone jack and the headunit, have you seen anything like that the only ones i can find are sold out

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=168

and like i said i know better than to use the FM transmitter, but the cassette adapter has been pretty good to me so far but i am looking for something that would be a little cleaner looking than having that wire hanging out of the dash all the time

Not that it is outstanding, but I use the Belkin FM modulator and it works the best from an FM modulator perspective. I've been through a few of them and Belkin is definately the best...

yea like i said i have a cassette adapter, but im looking for something a little cleaner looking that will provide equal or greater sound quality (yea i know its not great with the adapter, but it IS better than any fm transmitters i have heard)

if that ipod2car thing was made for the microsoft zune i would jump on it, but it does not appear that it is, bc that is almost exactly what i am looking for.
