I maybe just thinking out loud, and if so, the CHOP BUSTING light may be turned on, but here goes anyway. I have a 03 SLT Graphite/Pewter, photos in my garage, and color on Durango 03 avatar signature. I was thinking of the grille of course I am still torn on the mesh/horizontal but that's for later. My question is and you can see Indy D's photo of his hood further up on this page.... What do you think of a mesh or horizontal grille but a BLACK perimeter frame. That is right a black frame, I was thinking I could order it then send it to body shop and have them paint it from box, prep, prime, paint and clearcoat then install the mesh or horizontal screen and install on the hood. I know it would definitely contrast and break up the color but from a artistic and visual standpoint do you think it would work? Notice I said flat black, with clear, or maybe gloss with multiple protective coats of clear. If not Black then just go with the chrome plated. and we are talking about the perimiter frame not the inserts or center slots. Again chop busting is permitted but please try to do it in a constructive manner.

That chrome looks good in the HS/Magic photo IMHO. I think you can buy them that way on eBay all the time.

I was talking with a co-worker too, scratch the black, I thought it might look good, but apparently not. I guess either chrome, or body color. It is just the chrome can look so cheap but apparently the black would even look tackier. Thanks for the input, back to square one. I got some new headlights and turn signal housing, the clear kind. Photos available soon.
