Ya I did. Thats why I posted. No oil pooling and no spark problem. VERY clean burn.

I can't figure it out?

I would perform the compression test, it will tell you what condition your engine is in and help eliminate the guessing game.
It's not a burn issue or compression issue. Hell I got enough compression to take starters out and break the rear end loose towing 7,300 lbs with 748 tongue weight and having 31X10.5 LT 15 BFG A/T KO's in place. Last time I did a compression test I wasn't under 154psi and still had the problem.

I thought it would go away after a long running like other motors but it has always stayed the same. The fact that it when being a hot runner during towing and using MORE oil during which to me means tight motor not to mention a slight tint to the FS oil after only 800 miles.

It would be a good idea to check it and I will but that I really think is not the problem. Theres no evidence to back up the burning of it unless it's atomized really good.

hey hydrashocker,

i got a similar issue with my 5.9l D here in Saudi - good looking plugs and no evidence of oil pooling in the plenum or external oil leak. oil consumption is higher after a long hot run. the exhaust does look a little sooty but not excessively so, although the oil consumption is not high enough to really cause smoke. compression is good and new rings were put in at the rebuild about 3 years and 80,000km ago. one of the heads was replaced at the time but the other one is still the original on a 1999 D with nearly 200,000km on the clock.
did you solve your leak..if so what was it...??

Chris

My PCV valve was stuck open. I replaced it and am awaiting the results.

I haven't driven it very much lately but I think this weekend I'll give it a go about. Besides, I just found a vacuum leak I gotta fix. It's located on the throttle body right in front by the MAP sensor. The heating and cooling of the rubber that goes to the ridged black plastic line that goes to the firewall on the drivers side.
