1999-2000 Durango Shelby S.P.360

Indy,
I think I can shed some light on what happened to #58. It is still around and well, although I do see it in the shop by me sometimes, but what Durango isn't under the weather now and then. Anyway, it is driven by none other than Dee Sniders son. Now unless he had two, which I don't believe he did, this is the truck. Dee lives by me on LI and I see the truck at a garage I deliver to occasionally. I just though I would let you know about it, whether or not it is #58, it is a Shelby I can assure you that. Its not in the best condition, or at least in my opinion, and its not very clean either. Most likely high mileage. Hope this helps in some way.

I was asked to aid in authentication on #0001 back in Feb 2009. Yea, at one time I was indeed THE Shelby Durango Go-To guy... Ripley's Believe it or Not.
At that time, the guy who brought her from SEMA originally still had it. #0001 was last seen in Beverly Hills, California, USA. 29,644k miles, For Sale via Private Sale for $40,000.
Your link to Mecum doesn't work or their servers are down. Once I can get connected, I'll take a look at it and "compare notes" with what I already know about #0001.

I remember reading where you were asked to authenticate 001, that is very cool! Looks like a nice ride. No 3rd row seat and a bunch of nice glassed in Clarion audio gear.
Here's a tinurl in case that other one still doesn't work:

Indy, on a slightly different note. The Shelby D I bought a week back does not have the Kenne Bell Optimizer. The wire harnesses that would run to it have been connected directly together, I'm guessing as a bypass. The PCM has been flashed by a performance shop up in Missouri (sticker on the PCM). Truck runs great, idles great, seems to have the HP I would expect. Vacuum is 15 - 20 at idle and Boost around 10-15 if I floor it. Shift points are nice and tight. Should I be concerned about this? I'm guessing that the optimizer failed or the previous owners decided they wanted a different flash. I looked up the company that did the flash and they have a "Supercharged" flash that is probably what was put in.
Thanks in advance!
James

Mecum is claiming Kenne-Bell was the first owner of #0001. Perhaps, however the guy that had it says he took it straight from SEMA and never said anything about buying from Kenne-Bell and/or if he was the first or second owner. Interesting tidbit that may or may not be accurate but makes for a better auction story.
At that time in 2009, there was still the original video tape from SEMA with the Shelby D in it. I have a photo of the tape on the DOC. I seen no mention of it as an included artifact with this latest auction. Quite possibly it is lost to time now.
In regards to auto auctions, you should hear some of the fibs/horror stories behind sales of some Barrett-Jackson stuff. I was told by a collector that were some law suits involved too.

Indy,
Well on my delivery today there was the truck. I decided to take a picture. To my knowledge it belongs to Dee Snider's son. It is #58 if you can make that out in the picture, sorry it was raining and locked.. Not awesome shape but still decent enough. Just wanted to inform you a little about it. If I find out more about it I will let you know.
