Default Electrical problems in dash

Ok, on a 2000 Durango with 98k on the odo, I had the heater core replaced several months ago, meaning that the the dash was removed and harnesses and wires had to be disconnected and re-connected to do the job. Since then, small, 'funny' little electrical problems started appearing, such as heater fan motor going out, then coming back on; dash lights around the heater **** controls staying on while all the other dash lights are off; the electonic door locks not working - then working again. This amongst a few other oddities. My guess is that the mechanic screwed something up when re-attaching the dash wiring - maybe not fastening a ground wire properly....who knows. Any suggestions? I plan on taking the car back to the mechanic and, under worst case scenario, remove parts of the dash to re-check all the connections. What do you think?
Thanks in advance.

Take it back to him. It's an electrical problem.
