Default 99 Durango brake problems

Just bought a 99 Durango and put all new brakes and wheel cylinders on it because the everything in the back drums was destroyed. Now when driving it feels like the brakes are hanging up and the rear rims get hot but the fronts don't. Then after about 5 miles they will start to smoke heavily in the rear. Checked the parking brake and its definitly not on. Not sure what the problem is?

They need to be adjusted... Sounds like someone just added new parts and didn't do a proper adjustment...

Bleed problem or it very well could be a pinched line. Also, on the top of the axle is a spitter that have been known to cause those problems.

+1. That star adjuster is the key.

Also forgot, if your brakes got hot, do a flush/bleed of your fluid... I had an incident a while back where my front brakes caught fire... The fluid that came from the drivers side (side that caught fire) was very black/green while the rest were just a bit brown...
