Default 2000 Durango Banged up

So spun out today...due to brake problems. Bounced off another car and now the left front fender...front bumper..and rear section (with the gas fill-up area) need to be replaced.

Is this a DIY job? How hard is it to get off the fender? How about the rear section? And the front bumper. Is it a lot of fasteners or just a couple bolts. Need new headlight and fog lamp too..but that is easily repairable.

Thanks!

Front fender is both bolted and spot welded on. You can view the spot welds from behind the headlight. They will require drill work to remove the fender from the support. The bolts (lower kick behind wheel well-along top-frontal are easy to remove, but the drilling takes more effort.
The rear section isnt a readily availible crash part and requires the section be cut from the body and replaced/welded from custom sheet work and or donor vehicle tin. 90% of the time the body shop will bang the piece back into place and clean up with bondo if not too bad.

Look for it to be totaled with that damage.

Need pics too... It really depends on how bad the damage is...

the front is not hard to repair, that also depends on the frame.. If bent its going to be not so easy.

Fender and bumper come of pretty easy..

The rear is going to be much harder to repair.. such damage is not easily fixed.

If u are claiming it on insurance they will total the truck.

Yeah, its definitly totaled. Now im looking to take it and rebuild it somewhat...not worth taking the squat the insurance company is giving me. And the frame is not bent.

You may want to think about parting it out and saving the money and getting you another one. You can pick up a 2000 with 120K if you look for around $2000.. once you get the parts time and paint you will be looking near $1000 anyways, and that doing all all the work yourself.
Not to mention the brake issue that got you in trouble in the first place.

ebay, this forum and other dodge forums have a parts for sale section that is a good way to sell parts. Also craigslist is another good way.

Just an ideal

???

Take the money and buy it back from them. That's how it's done. Never leave money on the table.
