Default camshaft postion sensor replacement help

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7 liter and will be replacing the camshaft position sensor

I have been searching the internet for instructions/diagrams on how to do this and not having any luck for the '2002 Dodge Durango'

would appreciate if anyone can give me some instructions on how to do this
*I apologize if this has been posted already

Thanks

The CMP is positioned on the outer side of the front end of the right cylinder head, just infront of the exhaust manifold. Once you remove the electrical connector you will see a bolt holding it in place. Remove the bolt and the sensor should come out.

I would replace the O-ring and lub it with engine oil. When you put in on don't twist it, gently rock it on. When you're ready to put the new sensor on ensure it is fully seated with no gaps. If its not fully seated you will damage the sensor's "tang" when you tighten it down. Then everything should hook back up.

It's in the Do It Yourself section located on the main Durango 1st generation page:

Do It Yourself (top questions and answers) FAQ's

Take a look through it sometime.
