I've got 99 durango with a locked up transfer case. My question is that i'm on a budget and I was wondering if i could remove the transfer case and replace it with a drive shaft off of a 2 wheel drive? thanks for any help

 

To my knowledge they have different tail shafts. I may be wrong, but in all honesty it would be cheapest to pull a X-fer from a junk yard...

Just drop it out open the top and see whats wrong or have you tried looking into this:
