I own a 2002 Durango SLT w/ 4.7L that i absolutely love and don't want to get rid of.
It is getting up in the miles and one of these days the engine is going to need replacing, when that happens i have the idea that the 6.1 hemi would be a unique way to go. What i want to know is how much of a pain would this swap be, how much would it cost me if i went through the dealer, does anyone know of anyone who has done this swap or one similar and what do you all think about the idea?

dunno about the 6.1 but several have done it with the 5.7
take it to the dealer you may as well buy you a new truck for what they will charge you. This kind of swap is not for an armature and will be costly to have a shop do it.
