Brake Fluid Flashing

Default Brake Fluid Flashing

Does anybody know about brake fluid flashing? How do I do it and do I need to? The guy who tried to buy my Durango (1999 SLT) told me that the thing need to be flashed. Please help. Thanks.

Sorry I think the right term is Flushing..

If the fluid is old and dark colored (burnt) its always a good ideal to replace it. Some times replacing the old fluid will stiffen up the brakes a little if thats what the guy was trying to come across. I would recomend possibly taking it to a service shop to have the fluid replaced and if any, air evacuated.

Thanks for the reply. Got it now and also on how to do it. But I think I'd better bring it to the shop to have the expert person/s do it before I damage the O-ring in the piston if I use the Brake Pedal Method and I also don't have the gadgets for the Power Flushing Method. Again, thanks.
