Default How to remove sticky window viser glue?

One of my window visers came off while driving down the interstate but the sticky stuff that makes the viser stick remained on the door.

How do I remove the sticky part the viser left on the door so I can go buy a new one to replace the one that has came off?

I work at a hardware store and I recommend Goo Gone or Goof Off, or any caulking remover, or kerosene, but be careful with that! And alot of elbow grease! Lol.

id try paint thinner first, my self just keep in mind that it will take off the wax too, and when you are done a complete wash/wax is in order

and befoer anyone says anything about it, the paint thinner IS clear coat safe but acetone and laquer thinner are NOT so nothing stronger than paint thinner and gas is the same idea but a little bit stronger than paint thinner, fullw ash/wax when u are done

I use GooGone. Takes some time, but works off fine.

You can also carefully heat the area with a heatgun to soften and allow it to release a lot easier too.

Lacquer thinner IS safe for clear coat. Works great to get tar, overspray, paint from road stripes, adhesive, etc off of a cars paint. Just don't use it on plastic or rubber parts.

It is also a GREAT carpet cleaner and doesn't leave your carpet all wet like shampoo does.
