Let's see. I don't really care about a new, shiney paint job as mine is good enough. I don't care a thing about ridiculously large wheels or insainly powerful stereos.

I already have 4.56:1 gears and a bullet-proof tranny. So, how much motor does $10,000 buy?

I'm guessing all forged internals, stroked to 408, twin turbos, and some custom programing? That would probably do it.

Wonder what the wife would think driving it as it's her vehicle now. hehe

I actually have other priorities for $10,000. Actually I need two things and each is $10,000. I need a duallie diesel, either Dodge or Ford (I prefer the Ford truck.) and I need a wood chipper both used and in the $10,000 range.

Easy now. Deep down I'm a Ford truck guy. I like the Cummins but overall, I think the Ford truck is better.

Have an Excursion now with the V10 and have pulled some crazy loads with it. This one is close to 30,000 lbs with truck, trailer, and load and I had it on the scale a couple of weeks ago with a load of saw logs at 26,900 lbs!!

Looks like someone needs airbags and some stiifer rear leaves. That's not too shabby. What is your trucks legal towing capacity?

From Ford? 10k. I've had almost double that behind it.

Roadmaster Active Suspension is next.

Actually, Hawk Superduty pads for the rear are next. I just ordered them today. I can turn the stock rear pads into a hot, smokey mess pretty quick with those large loads on there on these hot summer days. Already have the Hawk Superduty pads up front.

Somehow I think those bags will be much more than the $220 that I can get the RAS for. I just don't have ANY extra money right now but have to get something under this thing.

Also, many people on the Excursion forum have the RAS and love them. These are all guys towing VERY heavy travel trailers.

I don't think so dude......IMHO

Look at semi trucks, thats what they run...... Not to mention the Rams. These are your better bet and they are fully adjustable to the load!
