Either way dude? I like the front ram air as you roll down the road.

Can you put some type of screen over the end to keep out debris ?

not necessary because when you do this you put a reusable (cleanable) k&n drop in filter into the air box and that will catch everything

Ya,

The occasional bug isn't going to hurt anything cause it's cought in the filter. If you place a net over the hole it's just one more thing to clean and it's unneeded. It's much easier to pull the filter out and spray out the filter box and be done with it.

What they said. Get a good reusable filter and go with the CAI. No problems so far on mine.

Yeah, I'll have to get a flexable tube first...Like hydrashocker found...The hard drainage ones don't flex much...

I did this whole setup in about and hour and maybe 30 min at a hardware store. I spent about 7 bucks total on all the pieces I used and I get way better throttle response and better gas mileage! way cheaper than the 200$ plus ones from online

No, you need to route to the LEFT*** not right.. the right side of these trucks/suv's are always hotter on the passenger side.. you need to route somehow to the Left if you can..

Do you have any information backing this statement up or was it just a statement? Also tell me this, how do you route all that piping from the driver's side and have room to lead back to the factory air box? Either I'm reading something wrong and very confused or you've have one too many to drink this evening...
