front control arm/sway bar. Use motorcycle chain wax and squeaks are gone.

Could be that damn squirrel...

Hijack! My D rattles and squeaks in the rear suspension. I'm thinking new bushings?... Any ideas?

Yeah the bushings are shot in both of your Durangos. I know when I was searching around the net I found some polyurethane bushings for the D. That is your best bet since they will never need replacement again. If you can't find any the rubber ones will be good for a few years.

I think my durango might need new bushings as well because it just started making a creaking noise on bumps. Does anyone know how much a local shop might charge to replace them?

Thanks Mean. Are they easy to replace?

Ya,

Leave the suspension down, crawl under it and remove the two bolts on drivers and passenger side. The move the the middle and replace the ones on the frame. Lube em with a silicone grease (deflects debris) and install. Next replace the ones on the suspension. There are 2 sets.

Measure the sway bar to ensure you get the right on because there are 3 sizes. Most are 1.40", but there are a few that were 16mm but I think those are for the rear.

NAPA sells them or places like www.rockauto.com

Make sure to clean the mating surface well. Dirt will cause premature wear on the new bushings.

Mine squeaks as well. I just chalk it up to wear, tear and old age.
I will get around to replacing them someday as well.

For now you could just lube them?
