Default Rear Heater hose routing

Have a 01 with 5.9 that I just bought. Found one of the heater hose that goes to rear heater had been cut and was blocked off with a wood plug and clamp. I cannot see where the hose should go. Anyone have a photo of eng. compartment that would show hose connections. Or a sketch of them.

Thanks

Theres 2 "Y" connectors that go in-route from the main heater core lines. One for intake and one for return.

Can someone take a picture for this guy?

There is/are no y connector(s).

On your 2001, the firewall has two connections where the lines go into the dash. One routes to a pipe coming out diagonally from the water pump area coming straight out on the drivers side. The other runs along the firewall, to the passengers side then along the valve cover to a port just on the other side of the water neck.

Which do you have connected and which is tapped off?

Default Heater Hose

First, Thanks for the help everyone and a special thanks to the FOURM creator for such an outstanding site.

Will try and explain. Starting from the water pump, Hose goes to drivers side and has a Y near firewall, One goes into front heater, the other runs to passenger side and is connected to the aluminum line that goes to rear heater.

The front heater return line that that runs from the drivers side over to the passengers side and is connected to what appears to be a small pump located on the fender well. The other hose connected to the pump runs to the water port on the intake.

The hose that is plugged is the return line from the rear heater located on the passengers side.

Again, Thanks for any help.

Details details. Now we find out there is rear heat. I agree... let's see a photo before we guess at it all night long.

Regardless, no one is going to tap off one side of a Y. They are going to tap off the entire thing at the entrance to the core. Thus, there are two spots that enter the firewall. One always starts next to the neck and the other always ends at the pipe on the water pump. Pix from there will help.
