Default 01 Durango Software

Hello Group. 1st post here. After recently having some issues with my Durango I found the forum.

My D would rev up to 1500-2000 rpm on start, then settle down to 1000. When I was driving the engine would rev at times when it would not need, sometimes causing a downshift to maintain same speed. I figured it was likely either the Idle Speed Sensor or the Idle Air Control. Took them out, cleaned, replaced and seem better now. Never had a trouble code before or after I cleaned the sensors.

Hopefully all is good now. But got me looking for a way to know what is going on with my car computer system. I have looked and found out that the Stealer uses a DRB III reader. Way to expensive for me.

Is there a way to connect my laptop to the computer to see all the sensor data, maybe even adjust timing or whatever? Something a guy can afford.

Lots of good info here glad I found ya.

Ron

Never seen that one??????

It looks like just a program and a imput to USB from DRB-II you can put onto your laptop right? Can you performance tune like Custom Tuning?

To be honest I dunno that answer, I have not really had time to mess around with it. But it does provide live data and will show sensor readings. Thats about as far as i have got with it

Hey Thanks, Yeah not cheap, but looks like it might do what I was looking for. I'll have to study up on it a bit.

hydrashocker, Do you know of one named Custom Tuning?

Any other options out there?

As for regular tuning let me suggest www.superchips.com and www.hypertech.com Get the internet updateable models like hypertechs max line or the new superchips line.
