They Giveth & They Taketh Away - No Govt Backed Warranties
Automotive News is reporting that new Auto Task Force head Ron Bloom informed a House Judiciary subcommittee that the government would no longer be backing the warranties of GM and Chrysler
On March 30, President Obama announced that the federal government would back the warranties of General Motors and Chrysler in the event of bankruptcy.
With both companies out of bankruptcy court… game over.
The Devil is in the details, and the silver tongued should always be watched for exactly what they say.

Yes... as long as they want to. It will be very easy for them to not honor a warranty that has both had it's liability discharged via bankruptcy and isn't even owned by the same company anymore.
Any significant recall for example can be ignored now. The bankruptcy keeps them from having to accept the responsibility and Fiat can claim that all happened before their watch and isn't their issue.

Man that is so wrong it isn't even funny.. LOL you have to love the American government. lol government for the people by the people, where did that go? This country will never be the same unless the American people fire every single one of them in Washington.
^ True.... But lets not make it a debate in here ^
Back on topic, it wasn't a chapter 7 so...IDK... if they could just drop it. Kinda like buying a repo house....... You still gotta pay for it unless you sell it.
