I have a 99 D 4x4...can I shift to 4x4 on the fly or do I need to be in park? I have no owners manual, Im sure its in there, but does anyone know?

U should be able to shift into high 4 while at a slow speed but not at full throttle or while tires are spinning in the rear. Four low calls for a stop and shift while in neutral if im not mistaken. I dont have a manual either but this is the case for most shift on the fly 4x4's
