New member here, I found some pretty helpful information here on various things over the year or so. This is my Girlfriends 2003 Durango that recently came into some bad luck:

Pretty much a moving truck backed up into her, no airbags went off, just damaged the hood, fenders, radiator and support, and the radiator jammed into the ignition coil (the tower broke off) and shut the car off.

So it was taken to a local body shop, and they declared the car a total loss, ($6800 worth of damage).

I told her I could fix it being somewhat knowledgeble in car repair. Taken apart by the body shop:

As you can see I have some work cut out for me.

Ya, i am in the process of doing almost the same thing but mine involves a little more, (steering) and pass door.. throw a hood, fenders, grill, looks like a new rad support (junk yard item for that, save some $$) new radiator and your ready to roll.

I would assume if you are fixing it, you have already bought it back from the insurance company.

While I wouldn't call it 'easy' to fix, there isn't anything there that looks overly complicated. You are lucky the repair shop already pulled off the bad parts. GET ALL THE BOLTS BACK!

Get the parts (pre painted from the junk yards) and you are set. A couple of weekends and she is back in business and has a few $$thousand to spare in her pocket afterwards. You can fix that for under $1000 if you shop the yards for your parts pre-painted to match your color. Add $1500 if you need to get it painted. At that point, have them paint the whole thing.

Yup, insurance declared it a total loss and she bought it back so I could fix it for her.

All the bolts should be there, the shop took them off and put them in bags, so hopefully I can figure out where they all go. I might need your guys help. I would have rather taken it apart myself, but oh well.

I having trouble finding the parts in her color in the junkyards, I think I'm gonna have to go NEW Aftermarket on most of the stuff. Then just take the parts to get painted and put them on.

I'll keep you updated.

You can do that then paint the whole thing your new color of your choice.

X2 on the painting after the fix. No use getting the parts all nice and shiny then mess it up with a momentary brain fart. JMHO
